Water vending machine

A water vending machine also referred to as water ATM is a coin-operated or swiping card operated machine that filters and dispenses clean water. The machine can be installed at either public or private places to provide clean water. Some of the places where the water vending machine can be installed include bus stops, railway stations, gyms, hospitals, schools, nursing homes and private homes. A water vending machine uses a very simple concept where it dispenses bottled water or people refill their own containers at their own convenient time.

How a water vending machine works

A water vending machine is usually connected to an existing water supply line. A filtration system with various filters such as sediment filters, carbon filters and at times reverse osmosis filters is incorporated into the machine. These filters remove sediments and residue, absorb organic compounds that give taste, odor and color and remove any other contaminants to ensure that the water is clean and safe. A water vending machine also has a cooling/ heating system. This system allows the machine to dispense either cold or hot water. Some vending machines are capable of dispensing both hot and cold water. A control system is also installed to the machine to enable easier and effective management of the machine operation.

How to use a water vending machine

Using a water vending machine is simple and does not require any special skill or expertise in water business. You only need to insert the amount of money equivalent to the amount of water you want and consequently the machine will dispense the amount of water paid for. A water vending machine that is both coin-operated and card reader operated allows people to choose the payment method that is more convenient for them. In seconds, you container is full.
